GHD's are very impressive.
And have been out a while now.
Mine only cost £70 from a professional hairdressers.
Therefore I'd take a look on ebay for a good offer!

Sorry to tell you this but I don't think that you'll get a good pair of straighteners for about £50. You'll definitely be able to buy some for under this amount from places like Boots but compared to professional straighteners like GHD they are a waste of money. If I were you I'd save up another £50 and get some GHD's - they are brilliant straighteners and will last you a lot longer than the cheaper ones and will work about 100 times better too!

I have been using the Maxxi Glide by maxus for about 4 years now, and it is quick, gets really hot and has a flat plate and a comb plate with steam.
I am african american and have very kinky hair, it takes me about 15 minutes to straiten it and I use bed head control freak conditioner and the two keep my hair extremely straight.
I'm still looking for a humity protector that will work better in the summer when I sweat alot.
Hope this helps. The flat iron is now available in bedbathandbeyond.com and you can find bed head products online and in beauty salons.

I think the best hair straighteners are GHD'S except they arent within your price range(100-120 pounds) and if i was you i'd wait and save up for one its definetly worth it!!! otherwise i'd would recommend a remmington (not sure of the spelling sorry!!) and they can cost up to 50 pounds depending and you can get them in boots......

For under 50, you can get `em at Walmart, but they have horrible quality and usually don't last long. I have a Chi and it was around 100$ and it works fantastically. It just depends pn how often you straighten your hair.

GHD (stable hair day, i've got confidence) are the greatest. Ive have mine for years and that they are even with the certainty that working super. They heat temperature up actual rapid and heat so they could artwork super on your hair. Oh, yet whilst your hairs dry then you actual'll desire to get a heat temperature protector spray to stay with on your hair each and each and every time interior the previous you straighten it or you're somewhat going to break your hair.

Boots or for professional ones get them from a hairdressers.
Get Remington or Morphy Richards (both around 30-40 quid)...they are cheap but really good. Make sure you buy ceramic! :D
