i don't think we ever do...
there's always something about unrequited love
that haunts people...look at any song or poem....
usually about love lost...
time is a good healer.....
and eventually we find someone new...
but we always keep those warm memories...

Sorry, but you never really "get over" a love that is lost.
You just put them to the back of your mind, keep them there, and once in a while, on a rainy day maybe, you think about them.
But then you put them away again.
It would also be helpful in working through what you are feeling if you were to get rid of anything that would remind you of them on a daily basis. Then, if you DO think about them, it won't be because you picked up, or saw around your house, something that they gave you.
If, however, it was someone you saw for a brief moment, or someone you shared a good converation with, then...
Be sure to follow my first instructions.

there is no magic cure for a broken heart. I am sure you are suffering the heartache of grief, loss, etc. Relationships ending can take you through the classic stages of loss. Unfortunately, it takes everyone a different amt to really "get over" a lost love.
Just remember, it's better to know someone isn't right before you are married and/or have children.
You will make it. Just hang in there and try to spend time with your friends and family who love you.

Ignore them as much as you can and try to find another girlfriend/boyfriend. I had this problem, but I quickly got over it and realized the guy was a jerk, I had my friends, my family that's all I needed, and that I didn't want him to be in my love life anymore, and that was only when I was 10.. I think you could get over it more then me!

Take things day by day and don't worry about the future. Do whatever you can do today to make yourself a little more comfortable. Talk to friends! Getting your feelings out in the open is the best thing (alternate friends so that you don't become a burden to one). Think about it- even though it seems like you are alone, you are not.
Good luck and try to have a good day!

It is not easy. I am currently having that problem. I cannot forget about him. He took my heart when he left and I feel like I'm dying a slow, agonizing death. The pain of a broken heart is excruciating. It heals slowly with each day. However, the memories and feelings will linger eternally.

Easy - move on and find a new one.
Believe me when you look back at your 'lost' one in 6 months or a years time you will wonder why you ever bothered with them.
