Seriously, there is nothing much you can do there.
It is really boring and empty.
Just read up on their population etc. You will be shocked.
But they are wealthy.

Well, I lived in Brunei for 9 years.. and it gets boring there. Somethings that may interest tourists is the water village or Kampong Ayer, they have an interesting boat ride there.
Gadong is equivilent to Singapore's Orchard, however it is not as big but has around 2 shopping malls, one with a theatre.
You might also want to check out the Empire Hotel, they have a country club, and has really good facilities as well, such as an artifical beach, canoe riding, jet skiing etc.
But overall, it is not really a good place to go for holiday unless you have friends there. There is no night life, or much tourist attractions as Brunei does not promote much on tourism.

You can visit river/sea villages and have seafood. You an visit the pristine jungle there. You can go shopping in the city. You can visit the Sultan's Palace.
The river speed boat will be quite a ride.
