Boys are easier in so many ways! they get up, take their shower, don't worry about what they are going to put on and wear that day (they'll wear whatever you lay out), don't have to brush their hair, don't have all of that "mama drama" that girls have, don't have to worry as much about people taking advantage of them, not all emotional like daughters, etc. etc. etc... lol! But daughters are fun too! :) Seriously, my daughter is more difficult in so many ways but she is also my best friend in the whole world! The older she gets, the more we bond. (she is only 7 now). My son is more laid back and takes things for what they are and I really like that about him. My daughter has to analize everything and find the reasons behind it. My daughter thinks ahead. When they are in trouble she will stay in time out and be quiet until time to get up and her brother will say a million times, "can I get up" in the whole 8 minutes he's in time out! Lol! I add more time every time he says that but he just don't get it. She gets irritated at him because she wants to play with him and she says, "Bubby, if you'd just be quiet!" and then rolls her eyes and looks at me like "why don't he get it?!" Lol! They are both a blast and also a pain in the a**! I wouldn't trade them for the world, though...

There are easy and difficult things with both sexes. I have five girls and one boy.
The girls all seemed to learn things faster. My boy didn't say more than five words before he was two and a half. Then just started talking in sentences all at once. Of course, he was the baby and his sisters all talked for him.
Girls want more things. My boy has never asked for much. Girls clothes are more expensive, but easy to find. Boys clothes are less expensive, but the choices are more limited. Girls are usually more dramatic. Boys tougher. Boys are dirtier, unless you have a tomgirl. One of my girls was a tomgirl. The boys at school would try to scare her with bugs and frogs and snakes-she would just reach out and grab it and look it over, and then ask where it was found. She would end up going with them to the pond or wherever, to look for more interesting creatures. She was all the boys best friend.
It is not always true that girls are more affectionate, that depends solely on personality. My boy is a cuddle bunny. He just turned 10 and now instead of many hugs he has turned protective of mom.
Which one you think is easier to raise will depend on your personality as well. My mom always said my brother was easier than us girls, but she was a tomgirl and related to all the guy stuff. She is the culpret that taught my boy and his cousins how to pop bugs with a magnifying glass!!! Crazy!
Just be happy with what you get and be the best parent you possibly can. If you do your best, angles can do no better! God's best to you and your future children.

I don't have any children yet, but I think boys are more fun with all the sports, etc..... that they like to do. But I think a girl would be easier to raise as far as tempermant goes.
Watching my mom raise my younger brother and listening to her talk about how I was such an "easy" child compared to him I guess maybe that's why I'd rather have girls.
But I'll love them and cherish them no matter what they are. And I guess them being healthy is all I can ask for anyway, right??

Well thats a tricky question. It seems to me that girls are easier in the beginning, wider choice of clothes and toys, they seem quieter and more chilled, but then I think that later on when they hit those difficult teenage years they might be harder than boys. Boys seem to be far more hectic when they are younger, very boisterous and noisy but then maybe not so stroppy as teenagers. Obviously each child is individual and has different amounts of hormone levels so for example you get girls that are more like a typical boy and vice versa.I think in the long run it probably all evens out just with the harder and easier parts at different times!

Both are equally a blessing and challenge.
My son (now 13) was a hard baby (was it because I was a new mom??) and wonderful toddler/little guy!
Now I have the angry young man routine brilliant not doing work.. and get little "facts" about school.
My daughter is now 10 going on 16 and a joy. She was a great baby, toddler - happy girl. All around but there is worry with a girl (for me)... peer pressure is harder, girls are mean!
My youngest (a girl) adores me and we're super close.
I think it's a blessing whatever you get and they all have different challenges - at every cycle in life.

Girls are more fun because you can do more with them. It seems like if you were to show your little boy how to dress up and sing people would look at you weird.. . but if you did that for your daughter, and also showed her to play and run around like a boy, you would be safer. Either way they can both be fun.

I don't think that it has to do with which is easier or more fun. It depends on the child's unique personality. I have a daughter and 2 sons. I find challenges & happiness unique to each of them. All children are different. It's a personality thing, not a gender thing.

I have a son so i do not know what it is like to raise a baby girl but i do have 5 sisters so i know what that is like and i wanted to have a boy when i got pregnant i guess that is why.
Really it shouldn't matter what you have as long as god did bless you with a healthy child.

My mother has always told me she would rather raise 50 boys then one more girl. lol.

Personally i like both. But teenage girls, *shudder* i just hope if i have a girl she doesn't turn out like i did.
