It sounds like your having a problem with the codec. A codec is required to encode and decode (play) audio and video files. If you download the K-Lite codec pack, which can be downloaded free. If you put a search in for it, you will find many download sites that you can get it from. I reckon that with their codecs installed, you will be able to play over 90% of downloaded video files.

Their homepage :
www.k-litecodecpack.com

Where I got it : www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm

Hope this helps.

For some reason, Windows Media Player doesn't seem to like having to play .avi videos. Try downloading .mpg, .mpeg. or .wmv instead.

I had the same problem, some people say delete limewire and download it again.

I can tell you that does NOT work.

Hope you find a solution.

Its all about having the right codec`s on your computer. The divx codec pack should sort the problem out.
