There has to be a loser for every winner because there are other participants with the winner.

most people don't feel like a winner if no one lost. You're supposed to be proving you can perform something faster, or of better quality then someone else. There are some things that improve so everyone is a winner, I can't think of a good example right now.

Because without losers winners won't exist...
However, there's one war, in which there's no other loser. It's just us. Either we lose, or we win. It's the battle of life. All other things like competions, ranks, sports, relationships, etc. are mere battles. Whether you win the battle or not does not count for the war. How you perfromed in the battles is all that counts.

What if there is only day and no night? What if there is only happiness and no sadness? What if there is only health and no diseases? What if everybody is rich and noone is poor? What if there is only son and no moon? What if ???
It's important to have both the aspects of life otherwise life will not remain balanced..Every winner has to taste failures so that he understands the meaning of success n enjoy it....:)
