They are deficient in one part of their education at least. They do not possess a vocabulary of adjectives and are unable to express themselves properly.
A (green, large, spreading, fallen) tree becomes a f-ing tree.
A (beautiful, ugly, old, thin fat) woman becomes a f-ing woman.
And so on. The problem is that children are instinctive copiers and exposed to the obscene language of their parents will grow up foul-mouthed, vulgar, facsimiles of their unfortunate parents due to no fault of their own.

I would not say they were uneducated, perhaps ignorant. Truth is, some people use vulgar slang as vernacular, does not make them bad people, it is all association and social upbrining. Personally, I swear, but I do not believe I am either ignorant or uneducated simply because of my words. I am probably ignorant about other things. Do realize, the group you saw was in a social setting, so I would say that if they were not in such an open setting, it would have calmed down a little. 5-6 year olds would not use those words I suppose, not without being punished I suppose. Although I think it's sick to punish any human being over the use of a word, they are not unintelligent. Reason does not start after 18, so the young children may have been told beforehand that adults use this language, and it is not meant for children.

As a 12 year old boy myself I can tell you, everyone i know swares, and to us at the moment it's almost just a part of life, no one cares. I actualy in general sware a little too much and am trying to stop. But noone actualy swares, the smartest kid i know swares like crazy. But in truth swaring isn't that horrible, they ARE just words. Saying "s***" should be just as normal as saying "stupid" yet it isn't. These words were developed way long ago and it's a pity that in the technological era we are in, we still have the idea that it's especialy bad just to say some certain words. It just doesnt really matter. The word "apple" could easily have been a sware, while the word "f***" could have been the name of a fruit. These words are simply used to show fear or disgust in someone or somehting, but there are millions of ways too do that, swaring just happens to be the easiest.
While I do sware a lot, i don't like it, and I'm not trying to be hipocritical but while i can have my own thoughts on it and the point and stupidity of it, swaring still does offend people, it can get you in trouble (in my case) and while most everyone swares a little but or has sworn, it doesnt mean they arent inteligent, but if you see someone cursing liek that, they sure look pretty imature and unintelligent.
hope i helped

Oh this scenario is one of my favorites. We have little kids, all under the age of four. I can't tell you the number of times I hear filthy language every day. At the bank, post office, grocery store. Sure I said, "oh crap" in front if my kids before, but that's when I cut the tip off my thumb while making tacos! We try to be gentle parents, and don't use foul language at work, in public, around our kids, etc.
Standing in line everywhere you go there's someone discussing fellatio, telling their friend in a loud voice how much of an "A" hole their boss is, or discussing over lunch the intimate details of their lastest trip to the gynecologist.
It's bad manners, lack of education and possibly the belief that we can't possibly hear them discussing their bacterial vaginosis.
I can tell you this with certainty, the kids are nightmares just like their parents. The parks, playgroups and classrooms are full of kids that think they are above the rules. All of those kids lack discipline and make things worse for their classmates and teachers. As adults their not any better than their lousy parents. Probably worse!

I have no idea WHY... it's a sad statement on their lack of vocabulary, level of education, the influence of the media, and the lack of backbone on local government.
At my "local", minors aren't permitted... but two of the bartenders have instituted a "no-cursing" policy !! It costs you a quarter for each curse (funds going to a party every 3 months), and TRUE offenders are kicked out.
I was raised by parents who would use "shoot" or "shinola" as substitutes for cursing, and it rubbed off.
In my high school, college, and 15 years in the Navy (as an Enlisted and as an Officer) I acquired some skill in cursing... but I use it as RARE spice to a story or a dressing down.
I won't let my KIDS swear (nor swear in front of them), I won't let my employees swear (and try not to swear in front of THEM), and have lost the friendship of a few folks who wouldn't curb their cursing.

I thnk it's a group thing. Humans do weird things in groups, like swearing in front of their kids. Now, they may act the same at home, but usually, it could be because they're in a group.
I mean, from personal experience, my friends say I never ever swear. But sometimes if I am really reved up and near them and really ticked I'll throw in one just to make myself concious. I tend to hear swears from my others friends when we're all together, but if it's one on one, I never hear one.
It's a group power thingy.
Good luck to those kids!

May I suggest you try & vist the town of HARLOW in Essex preferably on a Saturday or during School Holidays:
Wilst there visit the 'Harvey Centre' {an indoor Shopping precinct}-- once there take the glass lift to the upper level & commence to walk around this Balcony area: Where you will witness & hear the end result to the children who have been subjected to the exposure you described within your question.
If you do decide to visit please make sure any valuables are safely hidden away !

i will on occasion call somebody ignorant, yet in basic terms: a million) in the event that they are blind to a minimum of a few thing that's effortless expertise and that they could desire to already recognize, or; 2) plenty greater commonly, if somebody posts a query or answer that is composed of incorrect tips that they try to bypass off because of the fact the actuality. i do no longer call human beings ignorant to look knowledgeable or clever. when I do it, I do it to tell them that they are lacking expertise interior the undertaking they are conversing on (and it ought to be a grievous errors, because of the fact I desire to apply the word in a dispassionate trend particularly than as an advert hominem attack).

Its because they don't have enough vocabulary to say something. The adjectives just come out as swear words because "it just sounds better". Saying crap doesn't sound as good as saying s***.
I know when i was younger when i was in school riding the bus, some elementary kids (some 2nd-3rd grade) were cussing! i couldn't believe it!....i didn't start to swear until people made fun of my vocabulary and the fact that i didn't swear.

I feel that the youth of this day is affected by the sports heros that they watch on TV swearing and getting bleeped every few secants.
They think that if thier heros can do it and get away with it then it is cool and they follow suit.
