A massive rehabilitation centre, to which violent sinners would go to before Heaven. Kind of like Purgatory, but with therapy sessions.

Virtuous non-believers get to go straight to Heaven; if they didn't believe in life it's not their fault, it's not as if I gave them any real reason to, and they should certainly believe now they've had the Beatific vision and all that.

Samuel Coleridge and Gustave Dore depicted a tortured boat, I kind of like that idea...

The story starts with a wedding but the Captain shoots the albatrose...

I'm really stuck on the Jainism thing....I like their idea of a "temporary hell" where you quickly get punished and then you get a chance to try again. That's what we do with children, time out for misbehaving, and then send them on to learn from their mistakes and try again. Not an eternal punishment, that's silly.

I'd mess with the brains of sinners so they'd feel terribly overcome with guilt over their actions. After ten or twenty minutes of that they'd beg forgiveness, and I'd let them into heaven. Presto!

Why give people a choice then punish them for making the wrong one? Imagine doing that to little lab rats; it's cruelty plain and simple. Either lobotomize us or stay out of our business.

Billions of small locked rooms and a dozen clones of my father in law for each. That should be enough to put the fear of god into anybody.

I'd fix up a planet for them to live - so, eternal incarceration. Kind of like England sending the criminals and dirt poor to Australia. Wait . . . what if that already happened. . . and the fixed up planet was earth. . . . Yikes!

If I was god, I wouldn't have created a being that would harm another. I wouldn't have made it so that beings had to kill one another to survive.
I wouldn't have set up my creation for failure.. therefore, I wouldn't have need for a place of eternal torment. It'd be partytime all the time ;)
