0.0 ounces in a typical week

maybe 4-6 drinks over the course of a year

My ex-husband died at 39 years old from liver failure when our son was 7. He's now nearly 16 and some of his friends are drinking and getting high, but he has known since he was about 5 that he very likely inherited alcoholism from his father, and I like to be a good role model.

I heavily doubt that he enables your youthful sis to drink alcohol at the same time as refusing your request for alcohol. would not make any sense! even if that is authentic, do not worry about your dad no longer letting you because you'll have fairly some time and possibilities once you change 21 and your dad is merely searching for you because he cares about your properly-being. If I were you, i might want to be satisfied about having someone in my existence who cares adequate to take a stand on the region of alcohol.

Maybe a drink a week but very seldom does that even happen! I used to drink only on the weekends but it was every weekend for a long time.. many years, clubs etc. But as I got older I just kept getting more sick each time so I thought why?
I do not need to feel like this & I gave up

I try to avoid alcohol as I have a father, son, ex-husband who have struggled with alcohol addiction. I don't like the feeling I get when I have more than a couple of drinks - losing control. I like to be in control of my actions. I will drink socially but never alone and then only one drink.

Usually none. Then every few months or so, we go out to our favorite bar and make up for it. Like last night. I still can't figure out why I do that! I always say I'm not going to get drunk, just "happy" and it fails. I got drunk. Good thing I only do this a few times a year. Ah! I hear my coffee is done! Gotta go get my first cup to re-coop!
