This is the best way I've ever seen it described.

Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.

There are 2 different types of love. There is new love and there is what I call "old love" which is when you have been with someone for a long time.
New love is that feeling that you get when every time the phone rings you get butterflies, seeing his smile makes your heart melt, you make plans around his day just to be with him, you talk on the phone forever about things that don't really matter and what your parents tell you canot possibly be love.
"Old love" is: Having your best friend with you every day of your life. Waking up in the morning to make the coffee and setting out 2 cups instead of one. It's being the other half of a whole. It's building a life together, raising children, paying bills, dealing with jobs and other stresses and coming home knowing that you have a safe place to fall. It's being support when your other half needs it and playing around like children just because the mood strikes. It is having your heart broken and having to learn how to forgive. It's sharing dreams, making plans, and treating each other like you are the only other in the world that matters. It's the most enjoyable thing you could ever experience but also the most devistating.

love is waking up every morning with a huge smile because youre thinking about that one special guy youve got to yourself. Love is being able to know what eachother is thinking without actually having to say it. Love is that feeling you get everytime you see that person, you know when you kinda get buterflies and this huge smile on your face just seeing them? Love is when you are sick and your guy brings you flowers,makes you soup and calls you every 5 minutes to say how much he misses you and see how youre doing.Love is basically the best thing you can ever have..these are my two absolute favorite love quotes.

Sometimes you have to put up walls;
not to keep people out
but to see who cares enough
about you to break them down

Being with you makes me feel like for once in my life I don't have to work so hard on being happy, it just happens.

Love is this power that makes you disregard all common sense and completely blinds you. It is very dangerous. It should come with a warning label.

Love is caring about the happiness of another as much as we care about our own.
