I'm a student on industrial attachment. My boss's never satisfied. He'll always say "I'd suggest that you...". Basically the changes he wanted are meaningless. Also, He will always give you that kinda "I thought you should know?" look on his face. It's like you must have incredible initiative to work for him.

He's a good worker, OT everyday.
He's very organised, he plan before he do. You can always see him stare into space to think, but nobody knows what he's thinking.
He doesn't scold, but he always give you the I-thought-you-knew look on his face.
He thought he knew everything, so do you. But he would love to teach you, with unclear instructions, and he really, really thought that you would knew.
He tell you things that he thought you don't know, like "You know you have to place the CD-Rom face down right?". I mean, who don't know that?
He wanted you to do things his way, even things like organising your own work, he wants to play a part, even things like keeping the desk neat.
He's just weird, he would hand me a staple "bullet" he removed from a set of documents and expect me to throw it away for him.
