it could be something simple like a bunion, this can be caused by wearing shoes/trainers that don't fit or that are tight around your big toe. if thats the case then there are types of plasters to heal that area.
the other is that if you've banged or stubbed your toe and not really noticed, a small bit of bone or a chip to the bone could of happened, this could be causing the tenderness and the lump. to be on the safe side just get a chek up from you GP.

It could just be a blister or a wart, but get it checked out by a doctor. If it's a wart, the doctor will 'freeze' it off - put ice on your foot so it comes off - this process isn't usually uncomfortable and it is helpful in the long run [i've had this done myself..]
It could also be a veruca. Avoid swimming or sharing baths or showers with other people.
If it changes in colour, shape or appearence, see your doctor IMMEDIATELY as it could turn out to be cancerous.
Better to be safe then sorry!
Good luck.

sounds like you have a slight infection , this can be quiet tender to touch , try drawing it out on a bandage put some soap an sugar in your bandage it does sound stupid but it works , then leave for a couple of days , if it still their the go an ask for appointment at your doctors .

Sounds like a bunion.
Have you been wearing tight shoes?
It may just be a large blister.
Get your pharmacist to take a look and he may be able to give you somethig or advise you to see your GP.
In the meantime put a padded plaster on it to keep it clean.

If it appeared overnight it may be a spider bite. You should have it looked at just in case. Spider bites usually don't itch but can be sore and painful. It's best to have a professional opinion.

Could be a ganglion, they're hard rather than soft like a blister. They develop where theres a joint, not on the boney bit.
