Why cant people of other religions mind thier own Buisness(Christians)?

Question

why do christians think they can shove thier religion down other people's throats..
why should we worship your god. why worship a god that 'loves' us enough to hurt, drownd, burn, break, & paralize us. why should we worship something that loves us enough to banish us to hell if we don't pray for him or if we deny him.

why do you think your religion is so much better that you have to convery everyone that doesnt like that religion or try to tell the adult who finally found a good religion that they are satanic and make people unhappy.
why do you call people satanic.
you say you want to save us but all your doing is bugging us.

all i've learned from christianity is that Wiccans, Atheists, Buddhists, Dryads, Shamans, Agnostics, Scientologysts, Satanists, well EVERYONE who isnt christian, are all satanic.

christianity is for weak people with no life outside of their own kind hun.
They are afraid of the big, bad, world, and so, desperately need an imaginary leader to tell them what to do, when to do it, how to breath, etc..
They'll always attempt to recruit others to their cause, because like any bullies, their strength is in a gang, but get them on their own, & they cry like the babies they really are..
To sum up: christianity = Loser grand central.. :)

I agree with you, there are some "christians" who feel it is their job to judge and condemn. But they are wrong. It IS our job (for lack of a better word) to spread the Good News, that Christ died and rose and that He can take our sins away.

And, basically, that's it. We are to share what knowing Christ has done for us. It's up to the listener to decide for themselves. Each of us is given the choice of where we want to spend eternity. God will not force Himself on you or anyone else.

I don't believe I've ever called anyone satanic or any other derogatory term here. Even though there have been times I've been steamed over some of the things I've read here.

I do have to agree with the other posters here, though. This is the Religion and Spirituality section so, yeah. There are going to be a lot of Christian beliefs (along with others) posted here.

As far as God hurting, drowning, burning, breaking, paralyzing us.......mankind told God to take a hike a looooong time ago. Sin and death entered the world, distorted every perfect thing He created and well, look what we got. A very sin sickened world.

But in the long run, I do agree with you about the immaturity and lack of love shown here by some Christians. Blackens the eye for all us. I apologize for them.

It's our job as christians to convert the world. to tell people about Heaven and God. If you don't want to be responsible for a God then fine by me. I won't be the one burning in hell. Someday when you die you will understand that a bunch of christians had tried to save you from the flame but you thought they were annoying. You thought they were the flame. So you became a tamer of the flame, raising doubt among God's people. You played with the flame of God's people and thought you were playing with the real flaqme but the real flame is untameable and you will only see ti when you die and are already burning in ti. It's my duty to convert people. Just cause you are of another religion doesn't mean you are satanic. Satanic means you are doing the work of the devil and that's not what most other religoins do. They are however wrong and Christians need to change that. But I;'m not you so I'm going to leave you alone with my thoughts. Spreading god's word is not immature. It's moral and safe and holy and it will bring people to Heaven. AMEN.

I appreciate your opinion, but my answers have not been nearly as harsh or judgmental as what you have just posted. As a responsible theist, it is my duty to study as many religions as I can. To understand others, you must greet their differences with an open mind. The differences in our religious beliefs are extremely fascinating because they can be interpreted in many ways. I rarely use the 'it must be satanic' default answer. I take accountability for my answers and I leave the judgment to someone else. My progressive views have gotten me called 'satanic' and the 'in need of prayer responses.' I am OK with that because I know I will not be judged by my supposed peers at the end.

Wow, that is pretty deep and filled with personal angst. Remember this...many people will try and get you to believe what they want just because they think they are right. In the end there is no good or evil there is only right and wrong. In your every day life think of these things before you act. Is what you are doing right at this moment RIGHT or WRONG. Base your decision on basic moral standard. I.E. Its not Right to hurt someone, its not Right to steal, cheat, lie, murder. Why? because each of these things hurts someone else. You don't need any religion to follow these basic moral standards. Christianity preaches these things through the ten commandments but you don't have to be a christian to believe in them. Believe in whomever you like but ask yourself are the teachings YOU are accepting RIGHT or WRONG morally. I hope you find peace and more to the point tolerance of others. This is a religion site. Christians have as much right to ask and answer as anyone else. Why is it that many people at R&S call it shoving religion down their throat, if it is a Christian posting. But from anyone else, it's called having an open mind, presenting a different viewpoint.

You don't have to believe what we believe and you don't have to like what we believe, but you're on weak ground when you complain about those who follow Christianity posting on a religion site.

This is the religion and spirituality SECTION. This means that, inevitably, people are going to talk about religion here. If you don't like it, go to another section.

I'm not Christian, I'm Jewish. It seems to me you have a lot of anger directed at Christians simply because they speak to you about their beliefs, and you disagree with them.

What do they do to, "Shove rheir religion down your throat?" They speak to you about it.

What do they do to try to convert you? They speak to you about their religion in a way to convince you that they are correct and your current understanding is lacking. Your question was an attempt to do the same thing.

YOu could solve all these problems simply by saying, "Thank you for sharing with me, but I'm happy with my own faith." then ignoring them. On the internet, you can have aneasier time and simply not read what they write, and go about your day.
