Thanks for that mr "Krishna", but if I had wanted advice for Krishna pooja, I would have asked for it. I specifically asked for Rudra poojan advice. If people don't have any information on how I can pray to father rudra, please don't answer.

No where in the vedas or the upanishads or the shastras does it say that krishna poojan is more valuable than rudra poojan. All the deities are manifestations of the same light. One should be free to worship whoever they feel a bond or connection with. Rudra has always come across as a very fatherley and paternal figure and thus I am desperate to worship him.

I do love Krishna just as much as I love Rudra. But the relationship that I feel with Shiva (and his incarnattions) is that of a father and son.

The relationship that I feel with Krishna and Narayana is more that of friendship.

Dear Zafralluah,

Everything you have said is complete bullsh1t. If you can't answer my question, please don't post. I have read some of your answers about hinduism and all you do is talk nonsense. If you don't know what the hell you are talking about please don't try. The caste system is not a hindu establishment but an indian establishment. Go and educate yourself about hinuism before you start answering questions on it.

Rudra is another form of Shiva only. Panchakshari Mantra OM NAMAH SHIVAYAH chant every second continuously and do abhishekam to Shiva Lingam with devotion on Amavasya day and if you can get Rudraksha - any one - keep it wash it with rose water, pour milk and do abhishekam with Om Namah Shivaya. That is equivalent to Rudra worship. Hope you have undrstood to some extent. Do pradakshinams in the temples of Lord Shiva. Search Google for Rudraksha - more details will be for you. Please follow right path to know the truth of Rudra and workship God.

Hello! friend,
"Rudra" is also the name of "Shiva".

first clear your thoughts of all ill will and hatred before you start!!! the heart should be filed with love for all the manifested universe.
The desire you are starting this prayer should be to get pure knowledge of the universe.

one word of caution is that using this prayer in any other way than mentioned above will be harmful to you !!!

He can be worshipped on all days especially at thee twilight( during sunrise and sunset), the14 th lunar day of the waning moon is most auspicious.

Use "OM NAMAHA SHIVA" OR
" OM NAMAHA RUDRA DEVAYA NAMAHA" OR
"SHIVOHAM"

The point of contemplation is the crown on top of the head,
imagine that a Crystal clear light is spreading out from a transparent linga (Dome)

Shiva Purana will be helpful.

In addition:

Mrtyunjaya Mahaa Mantra
The earlier mentioned Rudra mantra is a very powerful mystic chant often used by spiritual healers to eradicate the fear of diseases, pain, sufferings and death. The concluding part of Rudra mantra is popularly known as the Mrtyunjaya-maha-mantra:

Om Trayambakam Yajaamahe
Sugandhim Pushtivardhanam
Urvaaru Kamiva Bandhanaan
Mrityor Muksheeya Maamritaat

Om. O three-eyed one (Lord Shiva), we worship you, Full of fragrance and one who increases strength. Just as a ripe cucumber is plucked from its bondage (to the creepers), May He liberate us from death for the sake of Immortality.

If words are your only want then by a Sanskrit dictionary. When God is one can pujas be different? Ask your intellectual within. You are engaged in so many activities that you need more time, so I advise you, "don't waste your time in primitive (long ago in past) methods".
God bless you for inner intuition.

The worship & prayer of a Hindu is the job of his caste, born in by nature, and nothing otherwise. Hindus divided people in 4 categories (Varnas) and hundreds of castes in each Varna. Verses 40-47 Chapter-18 of The Holy Bhagavad Gita are translated below:

""There is no being existing on the Earth, in the celestial spheres or in any universal planetary system which is free from the influence of these three modes of born of material nature. O Arjuna, the activities of the brahmanas, ksatriyas, vaisyas and sudras are clearly divided according to the qualities born of their own nature. The actions of a brahmana arising from his own nature are serenity, self-control, austerity, purity, tolerance, honesty, knowledge of the Vadas, wisdom and firm faith. The actions of a Ksatriya born of his own nature are heroism, exuberance, determination, resourcefulness, without trace of cowardice in battle, generosity and leadership. The actions of a vaisya born of his own nature are agriculture, cow protection and trade, also the actions of a sudra born of his own nature consists in service to brahmanas, ksatriyas and vaisyas. Following each his own activity, a man achieves finally perfection, now hear how he performer of action prescribed according to qualification attains perfection. From whom is the existence of all living entities, by whom all this is pervaded, through worshipping Him, by ones own actions prescribed according to qualification a man achieves perfection. Ones righteous duty imperfectly done is better than another’s duty done perfectly; by performing actions predicated according to ones own nature sinful one does not incur sinful reactions. Actions prescribed according to ones nature must not be given up. O Arjuna, even if defective; since all endeavors are covered with defects as fire is covered by smoke.""

LORD SHIVA IS MOST EASILY PLEASED WITH HIS DEVOTEES. YOU DO NOT REQUIRE ANY ELABORATE PROCEDURES. CHANTING IS NAME [ OM NAMAH SHIVAYA ] WHILE CONCENTRATING ON THE THIRD EYE AREA [BETWEEN THE EYEBROWS ]IS SUPPOSED TO BE SUFFICIENT IN THIS AGE OF KALIYUGA.

HARE KRISHNA HARE KRISHNA
KRISHNA KRISHNA HARE HARE
HARE RAMA HARE RAMA
RAMA RAMA HARE HARE

“[Lord Siva told the goddess Durga:] ‘My dear Devi, although the Vedas recommend worship of demigods, the worship of Lord Vishnu is topmost. However, above the worship of Lord Vishnu is the rendering of service to Vaishnavas, who are related to Lord Vishnu.’ Padma Purana.

Rudra or Siva worship will be done if somebody chants the name Rama as he himself is doing and is telling his wife Parvati, as mentioned in the Padma Purana,
raama raameti raameti rame raame manorame
sahasra-naamabhis tulyam raama-nama varaanane
"I chant the holy name of Raama, Raama, Raama and thus enjoy this beautiful sound. This holy name of Ramacandra is equal to one thousand holy names of Lord Visnu."
Brhad-Visnu-sahasranaama-stotra... 72.335 (from Padma Purana, Uttara-khanda).

Srimad Bhagavatam mentions in the ninth canto,
In the Satya-yuga, the first millennium, all the Vedic mantras were included in one mantra-pranava, the root of all Vedic mantras. In other words, the Atharva Veda alone was the source of all Vedic knowledge. The Supreme Personality of Godhead Narayana was the only worshipable Deity; there was no recommendation for worship of the demigods. Fire was one only, and the only order of life in human society was known as hamsa.
PURPORT
In Satya-yuga there was only one Veda, not four. Later, before the beginning of Kali-yuga, this one Veda, the Atharva Veda (or, some say, the Yajur Veda), was divided into four—Sama, Yajur, Rg and Atharva—for the facility of human society. In Satya-yuga the only mantra was omkara (om tat sat). The same name omkara is manifest in the mantra Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare/ Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. Unless one is a brahmana, one cannot utter omkara and get the desired result. But in Kali-yuga almost everyone is a sudra, unfit for pronouncing the pranava, omkara. Therefore the sastras have recommended the chanting of the Hare Krishna maha-mantra. Omkara is a mantra, or maha-mantra, and Hare Krishna is also a maha-mantra. The purpose of pronouncing omkara is to address the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Vasudeva (om namo bhagavate vasudevaya). And the purpose of chanting the Hare Krishna mantra is the same. Hare: "O energy of the Lord!" Krishna:"O Lord Krishna!" Hare: "O energy of the Lord!" Rama: "O Supreme Lord, O supreme enjoyer!" The only worshipable Lord is Hari, who is the goal of the Vedas (vedais ca sarvair aham eva vedyah [Bg. 15.15]). By worshiping the demigods, one worships the different parts of the Lord, just as one might water the branches and twigs of a tree. But worshiping Narayana, the all-inclusive Supreme Personality of Godhead, is like pouring water on the root of the tree, thus supplying water to the trunk, branches, twigs, leaves and so on. In Satya-yuga people knew how to fulfill the necessities of life simply by worshiping Narayana, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. The same purpose can be served in this age of Kali by the chanting of the Hare Krishna mantra, as recommended in the Bhagavatam. Kirtanad eva Krishnasya mukta-sangah param vrajet [SB 12.3.51]. Simply by chanting the Hare Krishna mantra, one becomes free from the bondage of material existence and thus becomes eligible to return home, back to Godhead.
