Of course - state and federal are separate. Your guidance counselor or college financial aid officer will tell you how to do it.

If the financial aid officer is a jerk, as they SOMETIMES are, go to the Dean of your college, or of the liberal arts/core college, and he can usually hook you up.

yes

look in yahoo or google for for example,
"ohio federal grant programs" "ohio state grants"

or you can ask a CAP or college advisor at a local high school or an academic advisor at a local community college or university. they should know the specific names of state and federal grants available to you according to state

when you fill out your FAFSA papers you automatically are applying for a Pella Grant. The rest you have to search for on your own, I go to fastweb.com and brokescholar.com
At your college website there are direct links for some as well, it is in the LINKS or Scholarship and Grant info on FAFSA.
