The Griffon Bruxellois or Brussels Griffon is a breed of toy dog, named for the city of their origin, Brussels, Belgium. The Griffon Bruxellois is really three dogs rolled into one, the Griffon Bruxellois, the Griffon Belge and the Petit Brabançon. Identical in standard except for coat and colour differences, in some standards they are considered varieties of the same breed, much like Belgian Sheepdogs.

The Griffon Bruxellois is an amusing little dog with his monkey-like face and has been known in Belgium for many centuries. There are two varieties, the rough coated, called the Griffon Bruxellois and the smooth called Petit Brabancon, and both rough and smooth can appear in the same litter. Colours are red, black and black and tan. In the UK both coat varieties are shown in the same class whereas in other countries the breed is divided by coat type, the Griffon Bruxellois, the Petit Brabancon and the rough-coated black variety is shown as the Belgian Griffon.

Small breed dog usually with a rough coat and a scrunched up face. Seen the film "As good as it gets" - well that was one in that film.
