No. Not unless you can look at the car or have someone you trust look at it for you.

I have bought a few vehicles on ebay. I have never had a problem. Buy from someone that has a high feedback score... they don't want to ruin their score... if they do, they are out of business. I have purchased a Volvo about three years ago... saved thousands and I have also bought a Convertible Toyota Solara.... absolutely beautiful.

On a side note, I have sole a high wall camper.... just didn't have the room anymore and the person saved 3000 from my purchase price and I only used it once. I sold it on ebay because it is easy. You take great photos of what you are selling and put it out there.... wah la! it sells. I don't have time to show the car or camper or anything to someone and then they aren't really interested.

Just so you know, I buy and sell things on ebay on occassion.... however I do not have an ebay business. I am just someone who buys a lot and sometimes decides I don't need it anymore. I love ebay!

Well, if money is not an option to you listen to the people that scream "NO". For me money is an option. I just purchased a 04 altima with 31,000 miles on it for a great price. It still came off a BMW lot but it was a steal none the less. The key is to do your research. Check feedback ratings, number of transactions, should be able to call the person, run carfax report or equifax reports, and if it's within a 100 mi radius go check the thing out. Mine was within 200 mi, but I was comfortable enough with the info I had to go ahead and win the auction without a test drive. People that don't do their research get burned.

Don't buy car's from Ebay unless you personally know the seller. People get images from Google of a 2005 Corvette ZO6 and give ton's of information which is probably from a car which they stole it from along with the vin#. Next thing you know they made about $50,000 off of you with a Google image. Buy from a local dealership, or local person. Don't trust Ebay!

Good luck!

I was always iffy about it...but my dad bought a car...3 years old and looked just like new! And got it for 10,000...sorry i dont know the car name...but it went well for him. Though you have to make sure to look at their feedback score and talk with them to gain there trust...its a risk of course...but ebay has policy laws that will protect you if something goes wrong! Think about it...god bless!

I once bought a book on ebay, paid $15 for it, and never got it, I can only imagine spending thousands of dollars for a car and not getting it. its chancy plus you have to pay for the delivery of the car, so if you do pick a car within your state or pretty darn close. be careful.

No, you don't see much of the car, you don't know much about it's history and you certainly will have a hard time getting your money back or get something repaired or done if something goes wrong. Apart from that, over here in Europe, they started controlling these auctions, since most of them avoid taxes and are therefore illegal. Watch out!

No, buy one from an individual locally, or at an auction.
