Burn with lust is the original meaning in that verse, and I'm not Mormon.

i have never heard of that translation. If it has the same format of the other translations, you should be able to look it up and compare the other translations to see what God is really saying. If it is not saying the same things as the other translations, than it is not true. The bible was inspired by God. God told the people what to put in it. This bible you have may be just made up by other people. Let me know the verse if it's a real bible and I can help you relate to it.

The first translation is correct. We don't need Joseph Smith to change it. It was understood God was talking about lust long before Smith came along.

It is my opinion, as a Christian Preacher, writer and Evangelist, that NO MAN has the authority to change or alter the Word of GOD.

It is better to marry then it is to be damned for engaging in illicit sexual activities.
It is best to devote yourself completely to the Lord God. This is why Priests and Nuns do not marry. However, as Paul told us the flesh is weak and even Paul did what he would not have done so Priests and Nuns sexually abuse children, illicit sexual intercourse. It would be better for them to be married then damned.

Smith's version is certainly less ambiguous, assuming that it is correct. It is just as interpretive viewed either way.

I think it is. He also translated the Lord's Prayer : instead of "lead us not into temptation" it says "suffer us not to be led into temptation." (Don't let us be led into temptation) This makes alot more sense to me, as I don't believe God would ever LEAD us into temptation, but rather leads us AWAY from it. Peace to you.
