I made a big mistake when I told a female coworker that I have a crush on that everyone in the room has wrinkles, I said even she has wrinkles although she is only 23. She didn't say anything at the time but I could tell she probably didn't care for the comment. Then yesterday she returned to work from a trip to Miami. I told her that she had some nice color, and looked good. She then said, yeah I put alot of sunblock on because I didn't want to burn myself, and end up with premature wrinkles. She's not going to let me forget that comment is she? Didn't I ruin my chances with a stupid comment?

No, you didn't ruin your chances! Was she totally serious when she made that comment or did she seem to laugh when she said it? You could always laugh it off and say something like "I'm so glad I can joke with you, it makes the days at work more fun." Just play it off as a joke and let her know how much you appreciate that she gets your sense of humor and how much fun she is. Compliments always work when you make a boo boo.
In the future try to be more sensitive when talking about people's looks, others may be able to see your sense of humor or agree with you if it was a total honest statement from you. (as she might not of)...you may be able to fix it this time with the above advice, but just tread lightly in the future.
One last tip...if you like someone, don't point out their flaws if you are trying to make a good impression. (ex: "even you have wrinkles")...not a good idea.

Hope this helps!

It's amazing that you can still speak with that foot in your mouth. You know that most women put a lot of time and effort and take their appearance very seriously. To make a comment like that was crass and rudely insensitive and she isn't likely to forget it either. Can you blame her for bringing it up? Right away you need to apologize profusely and hope that she will still want to talk to you. If she is a decent sort of person maybe, in a given amount of time, she will get over it. In the meantime you need to cut the tactless observations about other peoples appearances so as you don't come off as a brainless clod as you so brazenly portrayed yourself. The good thing is, at least you realize what you said was stupid as well as a big social blunder that may have diminished your chances with her. Just be sincere with the apology and try to keep a tight lid on what you say. Mark Twain once said "It's better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt"

Wrinkles are not what you want to discuss with any woman.
You made a mistake in discussing this with her in the first place and now it's time to talk to her about what you said and let her know that you think she's gorgeous and that she really has no wrinkles and you were kidding.
Otherwise, chalk this one up as a lesson and move on.

she might just be saying that to let you know you were being stupid for saying that.
but you might still have a chance,, dont be immature!!!
talk nicely, and comment her more.
tell her she looks beautiful, maybe when she doesnt. tell her she smells beutiful, even if you cant tell. anything nice..
dont make the same mistake twice, cause then you definitly will NOT have a chance.

This would seem an ill-advised remark which has obviously caused offence. If I were you I'd apologise to her, tell her you made an error of judgment and of course she doesn't actually have wrinkles. In future I'd confine my 'jokes' to topics that are actually humorous if I were you.

yeah, you never should of said that. to make her forget it and if you have the gutts, tell her that you didn't mean to say she had wrinkles; and that what you really ment to say was that you thought she is a very beautiful woman.

make her laugh again and she will soon forget it. girls are pretty self conscious of their physical appearance. try to avoid such jokes.
