The Mutter Museum.

Or splurge and take them to see the King Tut exhibition. Then hang out on South Street.

Lucky Strikes and North Bowl may both be good ideas, although I would check on the hours that they will let the girls hang out. Chances are, even with you there, they may have to leave before 10pm or something because they're only 16.

There's a place called the Naked Chocolate Cafe that specializes in nothing (obviously) but chocolate. I haven't been there yet, but I'd imagine it's a slice of heaven.

The King Tut thing is nice, but I don't think 10, 16-year-old girls would enjoy it too much. Maybe there's a good movie playing at the Franklin Institutes IMAX Theatre...I know "300" is, but I can't imagine that being something the girls would enjoy either.

You could also try a place like Bar Ferdinand or Amata...they're Tapas style restaraunts. Tapas is where you typically order 5-7 small plates per person instead of one large one. It's great for sharing and trying new foods. Amata will probably be the pricier of the two though.

I would think that at 16, any place downtown, like a BYO, bar or restaraunt would be a good time because you'd feel more sophisticated or something, like someone else mentioned.

I would have to say Lucky Strike Lanes at 1336 Chestnut St. They will think it's so sophisticated looking compared to other bowling alleys and would appreciate the fact that celebrities like Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson and Drew Barrymore go there (well, the Hollywood location anyway). Also, the menu is quite varied and better quality than your typical bowling alley.

Note: After 9pm all guests must be 21 years of age or older.

Dave & Busters used to be in Philly, it's basically "arcade for grown ups" and pretty good food too.
