Without seeing the cat it's hard to tell what bred she is..maybe just you're everyday run of the mill DLH.
As for the meowing, according to my Vet that's nothing to worry about.
One of our four cats has never meowed in her life and she's almost 7 years old.
During one of her check ups I asked that Vet about it and he said that some cats are vocal and others simply are not.
Like I said, she's never meowed in her life, but her sister on the other hand never shuts up...I swear that ones meows in her sleep...LOL

Some cats just don't meow. Cats in the wild don't meow at all, this is a sound they use only for human beings. I have two cats, one is very vocal and one hardly meows at all, the only time he meows is when his dish is empty, probably because he noticed that I feed the vocal one when she meows.

she is probably some sort of mix of calico. Though have you taken her to the vet since you got her? I know my one cat over time, got a very weak and almost scratchy sounding meow and it turned out he had an incurable disease that is hereditary. He was also fuzzy and I'm not trying to scare you or anything but I would suggest maybe taking her to the vet for her meow. Even though, if she doesn't meow at all she's probably just quiet, now if you see her like open her mouth and try to meow but nothing comes all I would take her to to vet. Good luck

I`m just wondering where you got her from as a kitten. If she was the kitten of a feral cat, that would explain it. Feral cats make no sound at all.

I think one of her parents was a calico, and one was a longed hair something. You might just be a really good pet owner, or she's a very "soft spoken" kitty
