First I am going to assume they are both girls... So to start you need to think are you looking for a color that they both can live with for a long while as they grow, one they can mature with or are you looking for a trendy something...?
I would go and look at a couple of different sites like HGTV and girls bedroom themes to get a handle of what you like and what you just don't approve of. Look closely at the rooms you like. What are the main colors? What are the accent colors? Can you use these colors for yourself? Accessorize with things that are age and intrest appropriate. Those are the things that can be changed later for less money and hassel if you can find the right color choices. Look at your children's clothes and bedding. What colors are you and they already gravitating towards? These are just some basic ideas to help you organize where you want to go with this.

Hey There!

I was just browsing around on Yahoo Answers and came across this question of yours.

Primary colors are very gender-neutral, and there are so many decorating items that can be found in primary colors. Plus, the colors are very stimulating for their little minds. Another plus is that you can use them for quite a few years.

Home Depot has a Disney line of colors that are wonderful.

Since you're doing some decorating, I wanted to mention that I’m an IKEA Regional Manager and was informed of a private website at my last regional managers meeting that ended up to be a promotion we’re doing.

This website is giving away several hundred $1,000 IKEA Giftcards for just putting in your zipcode. It’s a marketing campaign they are doing to see what areas of the country people are interested in IKEA!

You can’t go wrong… Just put in your zipcode and get a $1,000 IKEA Giftcard.

You could do some SERIOUS DECORATING for the free $1,000 from this giveaway they are doing!

Heck, you could even get the FREE Giftcard and sell it on ebay and go buy stuff somewhere else with the money you just made!

I think you should choose a pale, pretty colour.

Here are some that would look nice: baby blue, pale pink, mint green, pale yellow, peach, lavender, beige... it really depends on what furniture you are planning to put in the room.

I hope this helps!

i'd say pale yellow. i love that color. its not too much, like regular yellow, but its not too white either. its cheery and beautiful - and works with both genders!!
