For my upcoming field trip my friends say I should lose some weight. (Note that I completely agree.)
I'm 5'5 and weigh 135lbs. I'm trying to lose at least 10lbs. I've searched the web. I found one site and it says to take in like 3000 calories in three days then try to drop down to like 2000 so you burn an extra 1000 or something like that. Would that work?

yes, at your size you can get away with even 1500 calories/day for a week. it will suck and the weight will come right back but it won't be harmful. make sure to get some cardio in too for added loss.
remember, only a week.

I'm not so sure how valid that is. It's good to switch up what you eat in a day so that your metabolism doesn't get used to the routine but taking in three thousand calories is not going to help you lose weight. It will make you feel bloated. Try a smaller number, because the effects are still going to be the same. Take in 2000 calories for three days and then drop to 1200. 1200 is the lowest you can go without being unsafe. For breakfast have a yogurt every day. It needs to be fore 12 to boost your metabolism in the morning, other wise it won't work. Drink a TON of ice cold water so that your body is constantly working to warm it up and do some light exercize in the evening before dinner so that your bodies metabolism is working hard BEFORE you eat as well.

I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

Fats are nothing more than stored acid. By taking alkaline food, you prevent the intake of acid to create more fats.

Besides doing exercise, you must eat only alkaline food.

Read the book "pH miracle for weight loss". See photos of people losing weight at ease. If you want to loose weight super fast, there is an alkaline liquid diet. According the book, people are loosing 10 pounds or more within the first 8 days. Go to the website below to see which food (and even fruits) that are acidic.

U eat only when hungry and that too not more than three times a day with only and only water in between. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. In the process u enjoy it more and make ur body motor system tell u that u have had enough.

Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.

U will achieve the ideal weight effortlessly in a reasonable time.

Before you start any type of diet, however, you need to go to a physician first. The doctor will tell you if your weight loss plan is appropriate for your health condition. Furthermore, the physician will also assist you in determining if you really need to lose weight and how much weight you need to shed. Many people develop eating disorders because they do not visit a doctor before drastically changing their eating habits and starting a diet plan.

If you want to lose weight fast, healthy and permanently, you need to follow the tips below.

Maintain a balanced diet
Increase servings of fruit and vegetables
Stay away from junk food and sugar-loaded drinks
Don't skip breakfast
Start exercising

All nonsense.

Eat right, restrict calories, vigorous aerobic exercise for at least an hour a day.

There are no magic bullets. Some pills do cause weight loss, but there are SERIOUS health risks.

Healthy, sustainable weight loss takes time, discipline and dedication. Months, not days or weeks.
