My sister has an absolutely beautiful beagle b*tch and I am getting a pug in a couple of weeks and we are looking into maybe showing them, proble is her dog is spayed and we aren't sure whether or not we can show her. I heard you can if you write to the kennel club for permission, is this true?

It Is True, I have been showing my 2 speyed girls for a couple of years, with permission from the KC. They changed the rules about this some 20 years ago.

yea just look for the kennel club's website and write them an email/letter. I'm not quite sure that there are any rules against showing a spayed dog though. Then again I don't live in the UK. Good Luck!!

If you want to show under kennel club rules, the dog cannot be neutered - spayed or castrated. Once neutered they can only do obediance, agility etc. This is because in breed showing, it is assumed that if you have a good dog then you will breed from that dog. The point of breed showing is to develop the breed.

Unfortunately you can't show a neutered dog under the KC rules. It isn't true that you can get permission if you write to them.

yes but you have to contact the kennel club and make sure they know, you might have to get permission i'm not sure
