When you study the greetings of others such as in cultures, religion and so forth, people often come up to greet and wish each other well. However some group of people who belong to other groups only wish well for themselves, and not others, and often killing the others for not believing in their faith and may not even reply a 'wish you well' greeting.

What has a beautiful, non-violent natured religion and belief has to do with evil and the concept of evil just because they are not in the same faith as those who claim to monopoly over Truth?

Aw, sweetie.. this is a centuries old question.
Ever since christianity became a vehicle for political power, this "us vs. them" mentality has taken over and it's all about putting an evil face on all those who "don't believe" and finding a demon under every rock.
I don't see it changing anytime soon.. but I do see a slow progression toward all of us respecting one another's beliefs (or lack thereof). Perhaps someday...

the greeting that you have quoted is used by pagans/witches who when they meet say blessed be,or merry met. However there is no satin in the pagan way, only love of nature and the mother earth.
the main churches are afraid that paganism and drudism will again find suport in the general populous, with good reason as the planet is going to hell in a hand basket, more and more people are turning away from the main stream churches as they are not helping with the healing of the earth...the church of the "gentel Jesus" murdered, torchered and basically killed all wise women, women who knew herb lore, heck any woman strong enough to say something about the unfairness of the church. It is estimated that they slaughted 6 million women in the dark ages, along with how many druids etc...
The funny thing is when the church first started they preach reincarnation, but because the followers thought that if they came back they could pretty well do what they wanted this life and make up for it in the next...the church realising thet it could not control iot's followers came up with heven and hell,if you didnot follow the churches teachings then you would go to a place so horrible that it was to be avoided at all costs.
Paganism has no violence within it it is founded on the three fold lore what you give out you will get back 3 fold....budism is another religion that is non violent, althoug you pretty well have to give up drinking, having excessive partners of the opposite sex....having fun pretty well..but it's one of the fastest growing religions in the world today.
As to truth what is that? my idea and your idea could be at opposite poles...you have to find truth for your self and not have some one try and tell you what it is...hope that helped...just my view of course take what you will and leave the rest...blessed be....

i know I'm sick of hearing that some religions are evil
I'm Wiccan, that doesn't mean i cast spells on people to make them love me or so i get a good job or good grades no, i go around to my friends saying Merry Meet, Blessed Be, and stuff like that

its outrageous that people think Wicca is so "satanic" when its really just a religion of pure felicity and contentment. most even try to save the earth wile we still get criticized. I'm sorry it bugs me

MERRY MEET to thee!!!
The best that we can do is to live each day as deemed by the Golden Rule.
Sadly, When most "humans" chose to worship ANY God, they forgot to follow the basic rules.
Too many times on here I have answered questions (or "opinions") with the words from the bible..."Judge not...Lest YE be Judged"!!!!
When people open their hearts to the teachings of God, they forget to open their minds as well.
My advice is to live each day as if it is the olny day we have, keep forgiveness in your heart for those who chose to be blind and be at peace in whatever path you choose to walk because it is YOUR path and no one elses.
And mostly....wish EVERYONE you meet and joyous and "BLESSED" day.
(have faith...for religion is just a podium to shout from. The podium can be destoyed but Faith is forever!!!!)
!!!!!!!! BLESSED BE !!!!!!!!!!

There is a spiritual battle going on, the evil is the devil and his fallen angels and the the truth upsets demons because the truth is that Jesus died and was resurrected and given a NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES! And the devil hates the truth.

You should never put too much into the delusions of others. Isn't it obvious these days that no one really cares what they think anymore? They've overstayed their welcome, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

What people say, and what they do, have no correlation, you should know this by now.
