Using an economic perspective, I would say it is utility maximization - that is obtaining the greatest satisfaction you possibly can, given the constraints that life has placed upon you.
But otherwise, I think that is a very difficult question, and what is importantant to you, will change from day to day. I think you must pursue what makes you happy, whether it be a career or love, and adapt as you grow and change.

I could go into a long discription on this, but the short version is that. God made us to just enjoy life. Sin made trouble. Because of sin, not everybody knows God. So, we should be living to enjoy God's creation without sinning to do so as best as we can (ie, getting drunk is abuse of His creation, so getting drunk to "enjoy it better" would be sinning)- so we should be enjoying God's creation while bringing others to do so as well with the use of communities. Life is an awesome gift that God has given all humans.
