I wanted to ask here, as I am sure the sales people will just tell me something I want to hear. If I do not have an HD tv, will it work? Will I at least get a better picture than an analog off air antenna? I dont have cable, and miss out on my favorite shows that are on ABC, (its the one channel that I have trouble getting). So before I dish out any money, will it work on my digital tv, and will i at least get a better picture than with what I have now?

Most HDTV off air tuners have the ability to drop the resolution to your TV's native resolution. So if your watching the Super Bowl on your TV, the tuner will drop it down to 480i. Watching the superbowl on a normal TV at 480i even though the source started at 1080i/p, you will still get a better image just because the feed started out with more information than the feed already at 480i.
Make sure that the unit you wish to purchase has the ability to drop the resolution and it has the correct output.
You should also remember that most newer HDTVs (in case you decide to upgrade in the future) have off-air tuners built into them. High definition is very exciting to watch, and hear. If you get one enjoy it, and don't forget to watch the Rose parade next year!

If not, your RadioShack additionally sells some A/B switches (some distant controlled) which will restoration you up!
