Recent headlines showcased a new designer breed of cat bred to look like tigers, named the "toy-ger". What do you think of all that?

To be very frank I think it's time we leave well enough alone.
Just how many breeds of cats do we need?

Don't get me wrong, I love cats I have all my life.
We have four cats right now, all were rescued...I have nothing against purebred cats...but I feel there's no way I'm going to pay someone hundreds or even thousands of dollars for a designer cat when I can walk down almost any street in this country and see stray and feral cats that some idiot has dumped because they aren't kittens any more, straving to death.
Those are the cats I'll go for everytime, I'd rather save a life than line someones pockets.

I saw the clip on GMA the other day and looked them up on line. While I have to say they are beautiful, I will have to settle for my ordinary babies that seem to think they are designer cats.

The thing that really bothers me is that once again humans can't be satisfied with what nature has made. The cost of these cats would be better spent on helping to control the population of the animals that are thrown away when they get to be to much for the owners to handle.

My son has in no way rather had any interest in my stepdaughter’s toys. not even particularly. they have in no way fought over toys. nicely the single toy they did combat over became right into a experience on horse so I wouldn’t say it became into for a boy or a woman yet impartial. yet my 2 year previous is ALL boy and is going quickly for the soccer, basketball or the Tonka trucks interior the abode. I wouldn’t say I’d merchandise to any form of doll if he had one yet at this factor, he shows no interest. and that i’m beneficial as heck not spending money if I don’t ought to. LOL.

I prefer cats who need a home than buying a cat bred to my liking. That's just me

Are you sure its not bengal cats which look like tiger and spotted like leopard?
Because i have a bengal kitten 6months old which looks like tiger with the orange and shinning coats and every time she stands up I can see tiger in her. But at another angle she looks like leopard. Amazingly beautiful.!!

I haven't seen that story yet, but haven't we had "tiger cats" all along? there's a black and yellow tomcat in my neighborhood right now, he's a very handsome fellow...if he'd just stop crapping in my garden we'd all get along just fine

Not much of anything. All breeds at one point were "created".

I think they're adorable. If they had a nice temperament, I would love to have one.
