well im just a kid and i use to place my index finger in the middle of my face and look at that finger... and i always do that eye gesture, and my friend told me, "if you keep on doing that, it will stay that way". well is that true? is it true that i can get strabismus by making that eye gesture? serious answers only pls :) and to others who dont know, strabismus is more know as cross-eyed or lazy eye.

I think you are born with it. I know my sister and I were. I thought strabismus was a muscle weakness that caused the eye to turn out a bit (that's what my sister had). I have lazy eye, and it wasn't corrected before age 7 with a patch over the dominant eye to allow the weaker eye to start functioning instead of just letting the dominant eye do all the work of focusing in and out on things.
I'm not an ophthalmologist, and I suppose you need to ask one of them about this, but I sincerely doubt you can weaken your eye muscles to the point of strabismus by the playing you are talking about.

no you cant "get" strabismus, youve got it or you dont.
