I can't stand people like that. If you're going to believe in something and call yourself a Christian, you do that the whole week. It doesn't make sense to just do that on Sunday.
It also doesn't make sense to me when people believe going to Church automatically gets them a place in Heaven. I don't go to church because I prefer to worship Him in my own way. I like to go to the beach or park and be surrounded by the beautiful things he created, not forced into an uncomfortable pew and reminded of all the times I have sinned.

Just because a person goes to church and says that they are Christian, does not make them one. There are some that seem to "go through the motions", thinking that this is all that is required of them. There are many who know about God, but do not really know Him personally, loving Him and other people from their heart. Love is not something that only works on Sunday.
If you base your belief about Christians on the acitivities of a few, you would be making a wrong assumption. Christians are also not perfect, but because of this love it is more likely that they will not offend others. They are also human, and like you, will make mistakes. Being a Christian does not justify sin or those mistakes, but because they do care they are probably be more willing than most to ask forgiveness.
When a person becomes a Chrisitan many things happen and changes in their lives. Some of their old patterns and ways of doing things are still ingrained and takes time to grow past and overcome them. It is still an act of their will to do His will everyday. People do not always get things right the first time, and some things take practice. Give them some credit for endeavoring to make the world a better place with love.

They don't get it. You got it. Rejoice and join the few, the proud, the human. We were human. We became very animal, and now Quantum Physics and knowledge is waking people up. It said that the judgent of ignorance would begin in the church, I just didn't know it was because they were perhaps the most ignorant sometimes.
There's something I don't get though. We know that it's Sunday on the Christian calendar, but on the calendar Jesus and the Jews used, I believe the Jewish Saturday is on Thursday this year. Why do Jewish people and some Christian celebrate Saturday on what is really Tuesday on the Jewish calendar? We're using, the Gregorian calendar made up by Pope Gregory? Thursday is the Sabath as far as I know. Next year the Jewish Saturday will be on Sunday so we can stop arguing for one year.

I used to feel like a hypocrit when I was still an addict but going to church. I even went high a few times, but wanted to change. I quit going for that reason, but realized that I could not get off of the dope by myself, and if I waited until I was perfect to go to church, that would be NEVER! All churches would be empty if only perfect people went, so lighten up, and worry about cleaning up your own back yard! Peace to you.

Unfortunately, there are people in every "group" that give the rest of the group a bad name. The kind of christian you've described is just that type of person. There are many more christian who behave in a christian manner all the time. I'm not perfect, but I certainly don't wait to pray until Sunday.

yea i ahm asking myself the same
i don't know to be honest
but i assume, that they want to look religious in front of the people in the church....
it's hard for them to truly believe in God and to live a life with Christ
because when you really do believe in God and when you give your life to Christ, you change the way of being naturally.
but i have another question for you!!!
WHY SUNDAY?
why do you think they are on Sunday like this?
is there any law in the bible that talks to worship on the Sunday and to not work on Sunday?????
check this side out to read more about it
http://www.lordsday.org/
i don't know if you know what the sabbath is? or if you know what it is, than do you know what day it is????
if you are intrested in more things about church and religion, feel free to stay in touch with me.
it's katrin_zschau@hotmail.com
i am a youth leader in my church (22years old )

your ID answers the question....look up the words "religion" and Christianity....people are human..humans are imperfect...all have fallen short of the glory of God. we are but filthy rags before the Lord...thus, the savior of all humanity..Jesus Christ..He lived and died for each and everyone of us as our human living sacrifice so that we might have eternal life (in spirit form when we pass away from this body) and salvation through his shed blood on the cross at calvary.....look up John 3:16

Yep I totally agree with you. They are everywhere. It has got to the point that I have told them to save their talks about Jesus for someone else. I have had a guy try to talk to me about Jesus while he was having an affair. Also, my ex boyfriend was soo into religion, that he got me pregnant, left me and is terrible to me. He still goes to church, so I do get very pissy about hypocrites. Can't stand them.

Well, that would be a good question, wouldn't it?
Here's another:
How could you live your life in a way that is different from that, where what you say is consistent with your actions?
