Just to be safe, if it isn't better tomorrow, I would try to see a doctor for an x-ray (or whatever he night suggest) How long has it been there? Is there swelling? If it is better tomorrow, you might see if time will help. Would try to stay off of it today with it elevated (to keep swelling down)

You should have it examined by a foot specialist/surgeon (podiatrist). An xray must be taken to rule out a stress fracture. A fracture to the foot can still refer pain to other areas. If a fracture is rule out then it may be neuritis or a neuroma which are nerve conditions that can be cured with proper treatment such as injections. But I would definitely make an appointment because if it is a fracture then you could be doing more harm to your foot if you don't have it treated.

If you are limping and in pain for awhile, go see a foot specialist, orthopedist. Get an x-ray and find out what is wrong. It could be something that needs to be looked into. Don't just ignore constant pain.

If you are diabetic, take it VERY seriously! Other wise, look it up on ask.com or http://www.foot.com/info/info_pain_identifier.jsp
