Here's an interesting tidbit about the Labrador Retriever that some folks don't know ... A litter of Lab puppies might yield all three colors (yellow, black and chocolate) regardless of the color of the dam and the sire. Siblings come in all three colors. All three colors of Labrador Retriever are of the same breed. They are judged together in the breed ring - not distinguished by color.
So to answer your question ... yes. If a Yellow Lab bred with a Chocolate Lab, the litter would be purebred.

Yes, and you may get puppies of all three colorings: black, chocolate and yellow. If both parents are purebred labs, then the offspring will be purebred as well.
Please consult a vet and possibly a professional breeder BEFORE you breed any dogs. Also check with the local shelters...You may find that the demand for labs in your area is very low, so breeding would be impractical. We don't need any more unwanted animals in this world.

As far as them being pure-bred yes they will be..
If you can do pedigree research you'll have a better chance of guessing what color's they will be, But chances are you'd get all 3 color's..
Their has been some debate on breeding Chocolate's to Yellow's as some breeder's say it dilutes the Chocolate color ??
I'm NOT a Lab breder so I don't know if their any truth to it ??
Talk to expierenced Lab breeder's & they should be able to help you..
Good Luck :)

All dogs are the same species and can be interbred.

You can breed a yellow lab with a chocolate lab, but it won't taste like chocolate anymore.

:o)

Sure you can, just remember that if your looking for a certain color Lab then your probably not going to get what you want. Labs come in 3 different colors and your likely to get all 3.

Yes, you may get a variety of colors such as black, yellow and chocolate. You may get those even if you breed two yellows or two chocolates.

there is no longer something to propose that there are any wellness implications led to by making use of breeding those colours mutually. regardless of the undeniable fact that, breeding chocolate (liver) to a yellow can produce yellow doggies that lack the darkish pigment that one might routinely see around the attention rims, mouth and nostril.

To answer your question, yes, it's the same concept as a blonde man and a brunette woman having a child.

But, to be honest, if you're not aware of that, you shouldn't be breeding in the first place.
