Hmmmmm.Lemme guess, older guy & over weight .You really need to be checked for sleep apnea. It is a not a casual condition in fact it can actually kill you.
What's happening is that all that excess tissue in the back of your face is sagging ,and obstructing your airway. Snoring is the sound of all that tissue vibrating as the air goes past it. and then resonating off the spaces in your mouth and nasal cavity.
Get this checked out ASAP

Breath Right works for me..Im just the opposite though,,,I snore on my sides but not my back...there is a surgery they do with lasers that removes the soft part of the throat and mouth roof...and ENT doc can fill you in...its supposed to be THE way to go

you could try to use those little nose strips from "Breathe Right" At Walgreens . You just put them on the nose to pull the passage a bit apart and it will help to breathe better . It relieved some of the snoring from my son .

the only way i know of is sleeping on your sides, unless you want to take drugs for it...but that seems kinda unnecessary
