Ok, Well obviously take out junk foods, cookies, soda, etc. You should take in 1500 cals a day(which is kinda hard) and burn off 500 cals a day if you can. This will let you lose a pound every week. Your body burn 1500 cals a day just breathing. 3500 cals is a pound. A good excercise to try is running, you have to really push yourself and get sore and do it everyday. On the weekend run lightly and stretch ALOT b4 and after workouts. Your diet should include hearty foods, drink water instead of juices, sometimes skim milk if you want, whole wheat foods, fruits, veggies, etc.

U eat only when hungry and that too not more than three times a day with only and only water in between. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. In the process u enjoy it more and make ur body motor system tell u that u have had enough.
Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.
U will achieve the ideal weight effortlessly in a reasonable time.

Because of your age I would look at about 2000 calories divided up into five small meals a day of at least 1/3 protein.
Any activity that gets your heart rate up will help you lose weight. Dancing, running, walking, or exercising of any kind. Also look up the glycemic index on the Internet. This will help you cut out sugars that go into the blood stream fast and turn into fat. Good Luck.

First off you are 13, so you don't need to be worrying about your weight, forget about calories, diets ect...just be a normal kid, go outside and walk and think listening to your favorite music, dance your heart out in your room to the music you like, eat what you want but, modestly, you are at an age now that your body hasn't stopped growing and you are going to be getting curves and such, and you arn't overweight now, just eat what you want but, don't binge, just don't think about diet, and do things active that you love to do, and I promise you if you do this and not think about all the calories and such and diet and all, you will grow into a beautiful young woman, which I know you are now, but, having two daughters of my own, who can eat anything they want, but, are so active, and me watching my weight for years, found the best thing is not watch it, just eat moderately, and do the things I like that are active and it will melt off if you need it too...you know your body has a set weight for you, and once you reach that, that is your healthy weight, I know, I was anerexic before I had my girls, and was lucky, I didn't have any complications, but, I wanted to be so thin like all the stars and such, and that's not reality..just be yourself, enjoy life and do your best and the weight will be right and you'll be healthy and feel good too, for the rest of your life...and that's all that really matters.

check your bmi (body mass index). the following website should help you figure out your bmi, as well as how many calories your body burns naturally. I did my son awhile ago. He's only 8, but his body burns 1853 calories a day, just by him sitting on his butt. They base it off your height in inches, current weight and your age.
