There is a curious verse which says that there is Peace from God above, but it also says that there is peace of the earth. Drugs are prescribed to cause mental peace, some people invent poisons and some people make homemade medicines which can pretend or be confused as the spirit of God. When the drug is gone people think the spirit of God is Gone.
so i do believe it is possible to confuse drugs and highs against the True experience of the sprit of God.

If you stand in a dark room, anything in that room can be mistaken for something else.

If you stand in a lit room, one can then see the truth about what it is put before them.

In order to receive the Holy Spirit (which is the Spirit of God) you must first believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you and has forgiven your sins. So all in all, someone who has received the Holy Spirit will not mistake it with any induced intoxication by something foreign to the human body. If you have the Holy Spirit within you, you will know the difference.

If you don't want to take my word for it, just ask Jesus to teach you about the Holy Spirit. Don't be surprised if your life is never the same after that. :)

Witches do not engage in drug use as it would be against the rede, and that is do as thou wilt an in it harm none, because that also includes harming themselves. I am sure that a lot of people, regardless of religious affiliation have heard voice or seen things when stoned, some might call it God, others may call it The Great Spirit. We do deal in potions (but not poisons) and herbal medicines but only as treatment for some sort of ill, wether it be physical, mental or spiritual. But never in an effort to get high. But why have you decided that Mormons are not Christians? Because they are.

I don't think so. I have been high on drugs quite a bit in my younger days, and touched by the spirit of God a few times too.

It was a drastically different experience.

Sorry I'm not a christian a Mormon or a witch, I hope it was OK for me to answer.

Love and blessings Don

Witches don't deal in poisons and don't get high on drugs.
We don't confuse the "spirit of God" with anything. That's strictly a christian issue.
Honestly, educate yourself as to what witches and wiccans believe and do instead of making inflammatory statements that perpetuate hateful intolerance.

This is what the world wants you to believe, but God is SO SAD when he sees His creations doing these certain things. I don't believe that God wanted this to happen in the world, but He knew it would. He knew how many hairs you would have on your head in 20 years b/c He created the world!

I've heard drug addicts say that they heard 'voices' that tell them to do horrible things... I think that "they" think it could be God...

but God's Spirit is drowned out by drugs and alcohol (know this cuz i've been there/done that) and then it is easier to not hear his guiding.

the only thing involved with witches, potions and drugs is the devil. please dont put God in the same sentence with the evil of this world.

Mormons do not deal with potions or drugs, same as any other Christian.

ummm, wow... what kind of question is this? last time I checked, "witchcrafts and sorceries" have absolutely nothing to do with GOD, and if they use potions and poisons, what does this have to do with Christianity?

please explain this to me if you can.
