but i can't seem to uninstall it. AVG FREE says that it is discontinued but on my window sercurity thing, it claims taht it is still up to date and crap. I went to add and remove programs but that does not seem to work. HELP please

The AVG version 7.1 has been discontinued, but not AVG free. the version has been updated to 7.5 and is still free. If you like AVG and have been using it, why uninstall it and start over? Just update here:

Recently AVG 7.0 was discontinued. You have to update to AVG Free 7.5. Avg is a good program just update it. I ws getting this pop up on one of my computers because I hadn't updated it yet.

you need a software name absolute uninstaller try it if it doesn't work delete the folder of avg from program files (after you disable the process from task manager)
