My sharp brand tv makes a banging sound (like a small explosion) when it is turned off????

Question

The tv works fine when it is turned on but when it is off it makes a load banging sound every hour or two......and yes I have googled to see if I can find an answer!!!! Any ideas what it could be??

You will find a bad soldered joint on the sound o/p chip ! a touch with a small soldering iron should do the trick. Cheers Pete
