i am trying to think of wee short scottish saying no longer than 3-4 words.
do you know any and if so what are they also can you translate them into to english also.

Birl ~ spin or whirl around as in Scottish country dancing.
Ben ~mountain, also inside or within, as ‘come ben the hoose’.
Brae ~ hill.
Braw ~ something good, a braw day is a great weather day.
Hain ~ husband.
Ilk ~ same, kind, class, family.
Kirk ~ church.
Linn ~ waterfall.
Loch ~ lake.
Sett ~ the color and pattern on a tartan.
Sgal ~ strong wind, gale.
allt ~ A burn or stream. A small river
beag ~ Small

There are quite a few I can think of, but longer than 3-4 words you specified.
Auld lang syne ( I am sure needs no translation )
Lang may yir lum reek ( Long may your chimney smoke )
