Need i say no more than the fact that they dont seem to be enforcing the ban.
The problem with our government is they offten listen to the wrong people, and with regards to banning hunting they did.
They forget the countyside is a big place and when all the field/hunting sports stand together as one its even bigger.
These city folk just have no understanding of the county like the country folk, there born in a city, they die in the city it what they know and do.
A countryman is born in the country and is part of it, and 9 times out of 10 lay to rest in it.
We are the caretakers of the countryside and should be left to it

For God's sake! You have woken me up this morning.I am now insenced! OK I am one of the hunting country folk, and if what your saying is correct, they are completly mad. Firstly the main large deer populations are in Scotland and Devon, so, as there is now no staghunting which was used to cull the deer, the population will get out of control. But to introduce Wolves and Bears....are they mad? Scotland and Devon farmers rely largely on sheep trade......there wouldn't be a lamb left! Deer run incredibly fast, sheep do not, the wild animals would soon work out where the easy meal lay! Can you imagine going for a stroll across the moors and coming face to face with a bear or a pack of wolves.......I don't think so.....then along comes the government with a plan to cull the wolves....but by the time they have fought this one out with the "dogoodingtreehuggers" there are quite a few too many wolves and....................!!

There are hunts still allowed in Ireland. I remember asking a farmer friend why they were conducted, and his answer was to control the fox population.
I'm a city girl, I know nothing about the countryside, so I thought it rich that the biggest anti-hunt protesters were people who knew nothing about it.
But it's the same with loads of stuff, the politicians look after those with more votes, or the loudest voice

There is still stag hunting in Devon! It takes place differently and is not as effective! Because of the ban more are shot but now it is not just stags it is hinds and bucks as well! Had the ban not come in to place stag hounds could hunt all day but now they have to shoot as soon as the animal is seen causing more injuries and meaning more animals are " hunted".
So yeah the government got it very wrong!

Like EVERYTHING else man tries to "fix" or change nature, reintroducing wolves and bears was a disastrous failure in the U.S. Wolves killed mass #s of sheep, cows, calves, dogs, cats, and attacked humans. The deer continues to flourish, ignored by the wolves for the easier prey.
It's not wrong to fight murderous terrorists. Rather fight them there than just around the block, eh? It was the WORLD Trade Center, not the American trade center. They have attacked Britain, too, you know. Worse than the IRA, they are. It's not over yet, either. Don't delude yourself. It's not safe.

No, but I find it odd that you link hunting with hounds to the war in Iraq. Sure Blair got it wrong in Iraq, he was the puppet of the puppet of American economic global domination. Shame on him, history will not look kindly upon him.
Other than to score a cheap political point, what's the connection?

Sounds like it, being shot is more humane than being ripped to death, can you immagine bears and wolves in the UK, we don't have the vast wilderness to cater for them, it wouldn't be long before they will enter townships and attack humans and our pets. Yes, Labour have done it again.
