My whole face immediately turns red whenever I start drinking.

Same thing happen to me. Red even though I can drink a lot more.
I have seen on news that alcohol is a toxic substance and our body tried to purged out the substance. Being drunk means that you are already "poison".
What I do is to drink only after taking food. This will slow down my face from turning red and getting drunk.

It sounds to me like you're allergic to beer. You never know, it could be all alcohol in general.
My friend is allergic to Vodka and has exactly the same reaction. She can usually control it by taking anti-hystemines. :)

perhaps you're a smaller individual? the size of a person greatly influences how fast alcohol affects their bodies.
