Unfortunately, because the symptoms you describe is so limited; it's very hard to pinpoint the disease or condition. How old is your step dad? If he's experiencing chest congestion or rattling. That sounds like Pneumonia. Does he have a fever? Now, with vomiting and diarrhea; weight loss, and stomach pains and distention. Those symptoms might attribute to Crohn's Disease or Diverticulitis, IBS (Irrritable Bowel Syndrome) and /or peptic ulcer. or the stomach flu, or the Celiac disease. Sometimes, it might be the dreaded colon cancer.

The commonest cause of this distended abdomen is probably just some temporary digestive disturbance such as ulcers, gastritis and esophagitis. This is easily treated but if it’s discovered in time.
There are many complications and because of that-you don’t have much time to loose.

You should strongly urge him to reconsider seeing a doctor before he becomes totally dehydrated. He might order an endoscopy; upper GI series, Barium enema or colonoscopy to pinpt the real problem.
It is a but an unpleasant examination but it is worthwhile and it can save his life.

Sounds like milk allergy ??? Try cutting all dairy, ie.: milk and milk products, yoghurt, cheese, butter, icecream, chocolate, candies (contain lactose)................. Increase consumption of raw fruit, green leafy vegies and all vegetables both cooked not more than 2.5 minutes.

Increase water intake. To determine amount of water need half the persons body weight in pounds and drink that many ounces of water per day. ie: if he weighs 200 pounds then he needs 100 ounces of water a day to stay hydrated. 8 ounces = 250 ml glass. Therefore he would have to drink 12.5 glasses of water per day !!

Cut all white foods from his diet i.e.: white bread, only eat whole grain breads, cakes, biscuits, lollies.

Cut out dairy - you'll find that great sources of calcium can be found with broccolli, kale, collard, beans, sunflower seeds, walnuts, peanuts, salmon sardines, tofu and soybeans.

To immediately eliminate stomach pains, put 2 tablespoons organic apple cider vinegar and 1 teaspoon baking soda into a glass and stir until fizzing stops. Add cold water and drink up. This will settle any gastric disturbances. The apple cider vinegar will realkalize and level the acid level in his digestive system. When we over indulge in too many of the wrong foods, junk food, our body has a hard time digesting it all. Organic apple cider vinegar will give the digestive system a helping hand in digesting the extra load.

Maybe also go to the chemist and get some multivitamin B complex tablets to help him with his energy and stamina levels. Just ask the pharamcist which brand is a good quality brand to buy. Avoid synthetic vitamins, very hard to digest. Make sure that you don't buy anything that contains lactose, as this may only further aggravate his condition.

GOOD HEALTH & PEACE
