Sure can! I have painted stoves and ref. Just sand it down, you don't have to take all the paint off, just sand with a orbit sander until in is smooth. Work you way down from about 80 grit to 180 grit. Run your finger across until it feels smooth. On ref. its easy to take the magnet strip off the door. saves allot of taping. Go to Wal mart and get appliance paint, comes in allot of colors and runs about $4 a can, two cans will do it with some left. On chips make sure you feather them out as much as possible. If you have the time its best to spray all you can horizontally, spray one side, wait, lay on packing quilt, spray other side, allot less likely to have runs this way. Good luck

Yes. You have to sand it down, primer it and then paint it with paint meant for metal. Some refrigerators are hard plastic on the door so you will have to use different paint for that..

Basic answer is yes. I would recommend using an enamel paint for durability. Rough up the surface of the current paint with sandpaper before painting. Mask off the door seals so they do not get painted. They will crack if you get a layer of paint on them. If using spray paint, unplug it before painting to avoid a potential fire from an electrical spark.

Take a look at this Debbie Travis project where she painted the sides and adhered contact paper to the front for a stainless look:

not with spray paint or house paint, you can use auto paint or paint specificly for fridges, you can go to your local auto parts store and get can spray made for cars but it is expensive about 11 a can but it will do the job unless you live in a trailor it wont matter what paint you use

I've never heard of painting one, I did see on a show on theHGTV network where they covered the refrig. (stove too) in a sheet of this material that looked like stainless steel. I think it was on Designed to Sell. The material came in big sheets and they attached it to the appliances.

sure you can, just be careful not to get paint on the face of the seal, or it might not seal properly, enamel or metal paints will work fine, ask someone at your hardware store in the paint section, they will point you in the right direction

Yeah, if it's old and metal give it a light sanding first, and if it's plastic coated there is a new paint that adheres but you'll have to look it up because I'm going back to bed. ;-)
