It is too horrible to fantasize about. If China went to war with the United States it would be at a time when they believe that they could win. A lot of robotics would be involved. Satilites would be shot down. If it went nuclear you might wish that you were not a survivor. I don't think that it will happen. I think that other entities from industrialised countries will try to eliminate 95% of the human population once there is sufficient technology to replace the human element in the infrastructure. Much of what I see in global trends, technology, genetic engineering, and social engineering from the liberal left support such a wild idea.

Depends on what kind of war would be fought. The logistics seem to prevent a direct invasion of each other (I doubt China has that many boats and aircraft for an all out ground assault) and China has too great a population to make the US invade anywhere without sustaining heavy losses. Air and other "surgical" stikes could be made from our bases in the pacific, but again not without the risk of extensive losses.
Most likely scenario would be Taiwan. If China decides one day they've had enough of Taiwan and their independence and they invade, the US would most likely come to their aid. This , of course, would likely escalade into something major.
As for the nuclear angle, I doubt China would launch any weapons for they are numerically inferior to the US in the number of warheads. Any attack they would initiate would be met with an overwhelming response. I don't doubt though they would use them on their own soil if they were invaded however. The greater fear is if other nations with nuclear weapons (i.e. Russia) would get involved. Then the whole thing goes downhill from there.
As much rhetoric that China generates about being secure, independent and such, I doubt they will do anything to mess with it. Especially with the economic prowness they have going for them. Let's just hope that this scenario never comes to pass. The results would be catastrophic.

All hell would break loose China Russia and India have almost reached an agreement for an alliance which will also include trade and pooling technical knowledge and resources they are already feeling that America is a threat and taking steps to protect themselves. America is too busy causing trouble in the middle east in an attempt to secure their oil to pay attention to whats going on and as China would as good as own the US if they called in the debt the US owes them i`m sure that America would come out of it the worse

In a straight conventional war then the USA would probably win as it has superior weaponry and better trained soldiers.
China is large, but it has a largely untrained army, mainly due to the fact that the Chinese government still doesn't trust the military - after all the country isn't a democracy and there is always a chance of a military coup.
At the moment however, China is a happy to lie in an economic bed with the likes of McDonald's, Coca-Cola, Ford, etc. It appears that making money isn't against the Chinese government's communist ethics.

Depends, a ground invasion by either country would probably fail.
China lacks air support and the logistical capability of waging a war at any real distance outside of China.
America, if it didn't use nukes would probably become engaged in a war of attrition against millions of partisan troops.
Yes, the American troops, whilst trained to a higher standard would quite possibly be overwhelmed unless they comitted most of their armed forces and national guard troops. Viz a viz if China invaded the USA most of it's troop transports would be sunk before they got past Japan.
The only real advantage that the USA has at the moment is a capability of striking anywhere in China with nukes, China is still developing it's ICBMs.

mexico will come as the biggest winner . China might be finished as a nation after a war with the US , but I 'm sure there won't be too much left in the US as China would also fire their ICBMs in retaliation , by that time , any Mexican can just walk across US and take what they want and do what they want. Spanish would be the official language of the US by then.

America would win technically. China is not capable of destroying America by use of force. Evidently, millions would die and most would be Chinese. I believe it unlikely other countries would become involved unless North Korea fancied its chances. Unlikely but you never know. And the environment would suffer the most and thus countless of millions of other people would be affected detrimentally.

I think America would loose because they have already enough enemies who would probably support China in such a war.

China whacks US land forces because of overwhelming numbers. US air force and navy cripple Chinese. One side becomes desperate and fires a nuke, then the other does the same till the world is a nuclear wasteland.
