i think i know what you mean go to run type msconfig and go to startup and uncheck what you dont want running and reboot your system

Right click on an empty area on your taskbar.
Choose Properties.
A panel will show up.
Click on the Start Menu tab on top.
Click on Customize and Add or Remove what you do not want.
Click OK.

click on start then run and type in msconfig and enter then on the general tab select custom start up then click on start up tab and unselect items you wish to not start automatically some programs have more than one that needs to be unchecked. BE VERY CARE-FULL ON WHAT YOU UN-CHECK MAKE SURE IT IS NOT FOR THE CRITICAL NEED OF YOUR COMPUTER OPERATION IF IN DOUBT DO NOT UN-CHECK then click on apply and close then restart computer
