I, like many others, struggle with the concept of the universe magically creating itself.

That said, I can't see God magically creating himself either. So, when given these two choices, isn't the only logical conclusion that the universe shouldn't exist?

It is still existing as you can prove now that you are still in this universe asking silly question like this one which I am answering for complimentary comment. and do you know the meaning of the word universe? It is the whole world

Can you prove that you exist? Yes, of course you can. You merely use your senses to determine that you can see, hear, feel, smell, taste and you have emotions as well. All of this is a part of your existence. But this is not how we perceive God in Islam. We can look to the things that He has created and the way that He cares for things and sustains us, to know that there is no doubt of His existence.

Think about this the next time that you are looking up at the moon or the stars on a clear night; could you drop a drinking glass on the sidewalk and expect that it would hit the ground and on impact it would not shatter, but it would divide up into little small drinking glasses, with iced tea in them? Of course not.

And then consider if a tornado came through a junkyard and tore through the old cars; would it leave behind a nice new Mercedes with the engine running and no parts left around? Naturally not.

Can a fast food restaurant operate itself without any people there? That's crazy for anyone to even think about.

After considering all of the above, how could we look to the universe above us through a telescope or observe the molecules in a microscope and then think that all of this came about as a result of a "big bang" or some "accident?"

Your logic and thinking is very good ! I have not thought in these lines, but it makes sense to accept the fact that the universe is a illusion ! created by the interaction of the senses to confirm the line of thinking.

but looking at it in another way, to be able to see god, one has to develop the internal senses, as it is not possible to see god by staying inside god, we have to be able to go away from something to be able to see it with these eyes ( as every thing in this universe is God, there is no outside this universe.) there is no end the boundary of this universe.

Thus it is only possible to see the part of god which we have enclosed in this body in five sheaths , so it is said and understood that lets us go to the center of consciousness to experience god. to do this concentrate on your breath as it goes in and out as if the soul is breathing, when you can keep this thought and feeling continuously then we have past the barrier of the external senses and turned it inwards. rest the will take place by our soul as we surrender all to it.

there is nothing magical about the creation of the universe, although we are not certain, but just guessing how it came about.
And there is certainly nothing magical about the way the concept of God was created, that process is well known, but of course most people prefer to ignore the facts about that process.
so your "logical" conclusion is amusing, at best.

whether you think it should or should not, it does.
How and why it is are the big questions.

Anybody trying to claim that the odds of it coming into being are high, and saying it should not be, miss the fact that it is. There is no evidence of any other universes that failed to be, and therefore the odds achieve unity. The universe was certain to exist because it does. That is what happens when probability waves collapse.

No matter how God came into being, I have seen thousands of lives changed because of their belief in God and His Son.
I have never seen that kind of radical change in the life of anyone in any other religion than Christianity.

Which is funny, because Christians believe their sins are forgiven by the death of Jesus on the cross, and yet they have very moral standards that govern their whole being.

Not to say they do not err, we all do, but their lives are not egocentric like most other people.

I find most Christians to be very helpful, loving and caring.

There's no magic - but I'm not a physicist, and don't fully understand the big bang, or how much is unknown about it. These are physics questions, and have nothing to do with this category.

God is the universe and science is his magic. When it rains and the sun comes out where does the rain go? How will it rain again?

I guess it shouldn't! But don't let it know that!!! I'm getting my first car on Monday and would hate for the universe to stop existing before I took that sweet baby on a test drive!!!

Good point. Something science might be trying to figure out. Here is something to think about though 0 = -1 + 1
