I think its about $80-100. You need to get a marriage license first though and that's about $100. If you don't want it to be religious just get a judge or justice of the peace.

Catholic Wedding, and it was $50. But that was almost 30 years ago. I would assume it's around $125 now. If things haven't changed then it's just a donation anyway. Some other churches charge a certain fee if you don't belong. You also have to "tip" the alterservers and the person who takes care of the music and paperwork.

We are giving him $150, since he has to travel about 45 minutes to do our wedding. We've asked for it to not be religious, we are just having 1 prayer at the start of the wedding & that's it. A good pastor will give you the wedding you want & be willing to work on what you want & don't want in your wedding.

My fiance and I live outside of NYC and are getting married in our hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. Unfortunately, since we don't belong to a church in Pittsburgh we had a really hard time finding someone who would marry us.

We ended up finding a non-denominational Reverend who is going to marry us. He is a really nice guy and wants to spend a few hours with us a few months before the wedding, just to get to know our story and personalities, which I thought was nice... Quite pricey though, but we really didn't have much choice.
$350 Ceremony
$150 Rehearsal Dinner
$500 Total ..Ugh!

When my daughter got married, i found a book about the etiquett of weddings. It told us who should get how much and how much you should tip everyone. I think it said the pastor got like $30.00, it wasn't much. But I suppose it depends too on if you are a regular attender of that church. If you aren't, then I think you should pay more.

$750. We had a Jewish wedding not far outside of New York City, so we had a rabbi marry us. Course that $750 also included 4 sessions of pre-marital counseling, and helping us write and translate our ketubah (Jewish marriage contract) as well, so it wasn't just the day of. Rabbi Jason gave us quite a bit of his time, and he was wonderful.

A couple hundred, as a expected 'gift' yup, it doesn't actually cost anything. Religious? The ceremony will be, he is, but we're not at all.
