Not as many as you think often a dispute starts off with a complaint that is not met when the going gets tough on the guilty party often they dive for cover and alter their original answers.

There is no sure answer to this question. It depends on the people involved and how well they are able to communicate their thoughts whether or not things are misinterpretated/misunderstood.

I would have to say 97% are due to mis-communication. The other three percent are due to mental illness and would occur no matter what the other reasons or causes are.

i guess its not more or less misinterpretation as more of miscommunications or sometimes our expecting too much of others to think the same way as we think and expecting too much from them.
