Hi. Is metal a renewable resource or a non renewable one?

Thanks in advance!

It's not exactly renewable, but it can be recycled!

metals come from the earth -they are elements (think of the table of chemical elements.) More can be mined, in one way or another, but once a mine has been depleted a new source must be found. That is not always possible because more of one type of metal or other may be so deep underground we don't have reasonable ways to reach it. So, while they are essentially renewable, recycling and reusing are far wiser uses of our resources.
