Your dog could have a bad memory of being in a car, or perhaps he feels unbalanced and insecure. The noise could also unsettle him. Try travelling him short distances lying down on the seat next to a person for reassurance. Teach him to associate the car with positive things. Drive him in the car to the beach or for a walk occasionally. Don't just use the car to take him to the vets!

fancy answer is very good. the way to get your dog to ride in the car for fun. is to start by putting the dog in the car and backing out the driveway and back in. each day make it a little longer. when you have work to where the dog likes the car next take him to a park to play.

I consider maximum solutions given. He should not be allowed to loose roam the vehicle, for protection sake. you won't enable a new child to have finished selection of a motor vehicle jointly as in action. attempt the crate on the start and tell him "no" while he starts barking, if he stops, supply him a handle. And be repetitive, he needs to associate the adventure certainly, no longer damaging. as quickly as you get him used to being interior the vehicle devoid of being on your lap, they have harnesses obtainable so which you will buckle on your pooch. That way he can nonetheless see out the window and seem around, devoid of putting you in threat of wrecking your motor vehicle. good success!
