You should be able to get 720p but not has high as 1080i or 1080p. Still high definition, just not the highest. On a 19" that's pretty good HD resolution.XeA

All the computer monitors I've seen won't except any TV signals of any kind...But you can get TVs that will except computer signals...But the 15-pin RGB input will NOT except a COMPONENT signal without some sort of "switching" option in the monitor's menu.

RGB is 5 standard RCA jacks and COMPONENT is only 3 RCA jacks...And usually (buy not always) you can't just hook a DVD or XBOX directly into a computer monitor...But things change and anything's possible.

But HDTVs start a about $400 for a 27-inch...And we told you last time that that the HD-DVD discs would look way better than standard DVD on you monitor...That is, if your monitor can accept the signal from all of your equipment.

I don't think it'll work, but I've been wrong before...The only way to find out is to try all of these things for yourself...And then, and only then, you'll know for sure...Let us know what you find out.

Your computer can't display HD movies or HD resolution. Only HD TV's can do that.

If your going to spend $200 on the Xbox HD movie player then make sure you have a HD TV to watch the movies on. It will still play regular DVD's as well though.

HD DVD produces Full HD signal. (1920x1080)
But, 19" widescreen monitor has only 1440x900 resolution.

See http://www.guipedia.net/guidewiki/24-inch_LCD_Monitor
for affordable Full HD capable monitors.
Alternatively you can buy Full HD (1080p) LCD TV, which is very expensive.

It appears like the refresh fee on the "smallish HD television" would have been severe and produced the ghosting or action blur you observed. despite if that may not the situation, i does not think of that the VGA cable itself would confirm the subject. See in case you will locate particular comments of the demonstrate screen you're finding at for FPS gameplay to work out if others have got here across comparable problems like the single you're stressful approximately.
